When the opportunity to design a wedding inspired by Art Nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha arose, event designers Without A Hitch jumped at the chance. The lush florals, the intricate designs, the flowing gowns, Mucha’s work has all the components of a beautiful wedding!
The bright, open-space at Warehouse XI also provided an intriguing modern twist on their romantic theme. The renovated mill space in the heart of up-and-coming Somerville boasts large industrial windows that flooded both the design details and the gorgeous models with natural light. Their awesome photographer, Ashley Plante of Analog Wedding, capitalized on this incredible light and captured everything from the smallest bloom of the bouquet to the broad smile of the groom in a combination of digital and film formats.
Another concept that influenced the team’s design strategy was the desire to create a shoot that resonated with real couples, and for that, they had endless sources of inspiration with their real wedding clients! One of the things they love most about their clients are the thoughtful, personal details they include in their celebrations, the details that inspire you to say, “Yes, this wedding is SO them!” To bring that same sense of authenticity and personality to this shoot, they incorporated a collection of found objects, vintage glassware and several DIY elements (they hand-marbled the napkins using shaving cream of all things!)
The team also had the good fortune of working with newly-wed models. Not only were Nick and Jessica up for having a little fun playing dress up, but their undeniable chemistry was also an integral part of the shoot’s success. Hands-down their favorite moment of the day was when Jessica laughingly fed Nick a donut. And for a minute, Nick thought he might have a chance to return the favor, but no such luck!
Thanks for stopping by!
